Declaration of Faith

A. We believe that the Bible is God’s inspired Word (2 Tim. 3:16-17) and that it was written by men divinely moved (2 Pet. 1:19-21), and that it is the only authority in all matters of faith and conduct (1 Thess. 2:13).

B. We believe that God is One (Deut. 6:4) and yet eternally existing in three co-equal persons (Matt. 28:19): the Father (Matt. 6:9), the Son (Heb. 1:8), and the Holy Spirit (Acts 5:3-4).

C. We believe in God the Father (Rom. 8:15), perfect in holiness (Exod. 15:11), infinite in wisdom (Psalm 147:5), measureless in power (Jer. 32:17). We rejoice that He concerns Himself in the affairs of men (Isa. 57:15) that He hears and answers prayer (Jer. 33:3) and that He saves from sin and death (Rom. 10:13) all who come to Him through Jesus Christ (John 14:6).

D. We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son (John 3:16), virgin born (Matt. 1:23), sinless in His life (2 Corinthians 5:21), making atonement by His blood for the sins of the world in His death (1 Peter 2:24). We believe in His bodily resurrection (1 Cor. 15:3-22), His ascension into heaven (Acts 1:9-11), His perpetual intercession for His people (Heb. 7:25), and His premillennial, visible return to the world according to His promise (John 14:1-3).

E. We believe in the Holy Spirit who came forth from God (John 15:26) to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8-11), and to regenerate (Tit. 3:5), sanctify (Rom. 15:16), and comfort (John 14:26) those who believe in Jesus Christ (Acts 2:38).

F. We believe that all men by nature (Rom. 5:12) and by choice are sinners (Rom. 3:23) but that “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). We believe, therefore, that those who accept Christ as Lord and Saviour (John 1:12) will rejoice forever in God’s presence (Rom. 6:23), and those who refuse to accept Christ as Lord and Saviour will be separated from God in hell (Rev. 20:15).
